Well people lie, sad to say.
If you want your friend to stop smoking, print out or have her come read that comment I left about my grandmother, tell her its a true story. I don't really care if people I don't know or will never meet read it. Its a true story that needs to be told.

What really bugs me is since the smoking ban Non Smokers can't go outside because the smokers smoke outside restaurant doors and all other public places. It lingers in the air. All smokers should carry airfreshners around with them lol. But however its nice to go in a public place knowing it won't smell of smoke inside. I hated it. Before the ban Non smokers had a small amount of tables to sit at to eat, and the smokers owned the restaurants, so then it puts non smokers off and they didn't go out much. But now we can. I hate to say it but 16 year olds are still buying cigerettes even though the age has raised to 18. They might get cancer, or heart disease. Non Smokers live longer.

OH MY GOD SAM YES!!!!!!!! THAT HAS ALWAYS BUGGED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!!
I work at Smirnoff Music Center (Now been changed to Super Pages.com, don't ask, I know its lame... I work there) and its an outside venue. We have a huge grass area called the lawn. And even though. The seats down by the stage are covered its still outside and people think its ok to still smoke. So I'm constintly haveing to tell people they can either to to the back to the lawn or out to one of the vending areas. People get mad but I have to deal with it. I had one person say, "You don't own this place." So I said. "Neither do you, and until you do, I work here and I'm the boss of this section, if you don't like it. You can go talk to my superviser. I'll even point him out." They said "You can't talk to me like that! I'm a pay costumer and if I wanna smoke I will." I said. "Ok sir, you have two choices, you can either A. Go smoke on the lawn or venue areas, or B. Have me call my Supervisor Dallas over here and you can watch the show from the parking lot. You're choice." Not another word. hehehe

It just made me really mad. I wasnt in a good mood to start with. He just pushed buttons on the wrong day. But my daddy was proud! One time this drunk chick walked passed me and she dropped her phone and her pack of cigarrets I kicked the cigarrets down the steps and picked up her phone and ran it up to her, she said thanks and I went back for the cigarrets and threw them in the trash. no one knew. XD

I don't think it is true either. The person who started this thread hasn't returned to say anything about where she heard this information or post the article. I agree people do lie.
Where I live smokers can still smoke in restaurants. Now the state of Delaware doesn't allow smoking in restaurants so we go there to eat a lot. Now the school district I work at you are not allowed to smoke on school property. You should see the parents that come to pick up their kids and are smoking. Sorry I won't tell them to stop because 1) I don't get paid enough 2) my boss would never back me and 3) some of the people look like they are smoking more then just cigarettes.

Yea, for schools if its in their car, I wouldnt care, but if its outside and their smoking I would just walk by "Thank you for shortening my childs life with your damn cancer stick." And walk away. lol But thats just me.

Yeah that is fine if you are a parent there but being an employee makes it hard to make remarks like that because they are fast to sue you and the school district (looking for that easy paycheck). The worse thing is it is the parents that are smoking on school property when they are coming to pick up their children.

In the UK you aren't allowed to smoke in workplaces or on school grounds. The only place you can smoke freely is in your own home or in your car. Or the shelter provided for smokers.

That is great Sam.
I know every state here have different rules. I know where I live they don't allow smoking in most workplaces or schools. There are designated areas out side the work places but the schools don't want you to smoke on school property.
Our school district even has a rule that if a student is caught smoking and is involved in extra curricular activities that they can loose that privilege.

Thats a good way of tackling children who are caught smoking. The age over here is 18 but not everyone likes the age being risen or that they can't buy cigerettes till they are 18. They don't like having limited places to smoke.

I don't know what the age is for here. I remember when I was a teenager I was able to go to the local store and buy my mom her cigarettes. I didn't like it but I did what I was told.

Here you have to be 18 to buy cigs, I had no idea that in some places it was originally 16!
That's shocking!
I hate how they have the adds on cig boxes that have like the effects of smoking...and yet they still sell them! What the hell is with that!
The only way they'll fix the problem and save lives is to just make smokes illegal. I mean, it's not a medicinal drug, so why have it?

well done babylupin I agree with you on that 100%. They have the ads to encourage smokers to quit and to see what harm you can do to yourself.
