As Monica sat in the hall she took out a book to try and pass some time. Boy I need to find something to do with my free time, Monica thought to herself. She tried reading some more of her History of Magic book but was having no luck. Finally she closed her eyes to try and clear her head.

Monica heard foot steps coming up the stairs. She knew she better look like she was studying so she didn't get into trouble for loitering. She opened up her book again and started to read.

Monica pretended to be enjoying the book when some one grabbed the book from her lap. "So what are we reading." sneered Draco. "Just give it back to me." Monica said as she reached for her book. "No! I need this and it looks new." he said as he tucked the book into his robes. Before Monica realized what she was doing she took out her wand and cursed Draco with something she had never heard of.
Just as she had finished the curse Monica Filch walked around the corner. "Oh this is just grand." he said as he grabbed Monica by the arm and escorted her to Prof. Flitwick the head of her house. Crabbe and Goyle had taken Draco up to the hospital wing.

Filch left Monica with Prof. Flitwick. "Oh dear. Why would you curse Malfoy?" Prof. said. "Well he took my book!" stammered Monica. "Well I have to give you a weeks detention with your father." Flitwick said. "Oh great." Monica moaned. "I will inform him at supper. You may leave." he said.
Monica left Prof. Flitwick's office and wandered back up to the common room. She walked in and sat down in a corner.
