nothing really. How about you two?. why were you taking so long?. Seamus said. Sam saw Monica's left hand and said no way oh my word congradulations Monica. Sam went over and gave her a hug. Seamus got up from the couch and shook Harry's hand and said congradulations mate about time you were engaged then he laughed.

Monica blushed as Sam noticed the ring. "We weren't gone that long." Monica said with a smile.
"Thanks mate. I would have been engaged 2 months ago if she had said yes." Harry said as he shook Seamus' hand.

"Oh this is wonderful news!" said Aleysha as she went to hug Harry. "My brother pops the question to his beloved on my birthday."
She then went over to Monica to hug her and said, "And its about time you said yes too!"

"I know I dragged my feet." Monica said as she hugged Aleysha. "I didn't mean to take the attention away from you on your birthday." Monica said.
Harry walked over to Monica and gave her a hug. "I was determined and if she hadn't said yes out there then I was going to propose in front of everyone." Harry said.

"No, no its fine I really don't mind one bit," said Aleysha. "I'm just thrilled! You make Harry so happy, he deserves every bit of happiness he can get."

Sam said Monica would of had no choice but to say yes in front of all of us if Harry had proposed to her like that. Sam then said right wheres the champagne?. Dan said in the fridge. Dan got the champagne and poured everyone a glass and toasted to Aleysha and to Harry and Monica. Sam raised her glass with the others and said to Aleysha and to the happy couple Harry and Monica.

Dan kissed Aleysha on the cheek and then placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Happy birthday sweetheart, I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too," Aleysha whispered back and she kissed him.

Monica and Harry raised their glasses then took a sip of hte champagne. "Happy birthday Aleysha." Harry and Monica said together. Harry put his arm around Monica's waist.

Yeah I am up for it Seamus said. Sam gave him a light tap on the forearm and said you will eat anything and everything you will. Sam then said yeah I fancy desert now too.

"Thank-you very much, but I didn't have time to cook," said Dan. "Stupid work, keeping me busy, so I arranged for something else."
Dan grabbed a tea towel from the kitchen and tied it around Aleysha's eyes so she couldn't see.
"Now no peaking you," he said and he made his way over to the fridge.
