((we really need a party so ha in the great hall its time for a costume masquerede party for new years!!! so grab a mask and be there in the great hall I am going to go get ready))
Roxy was int he bathroom getting out of the shower her long brown locks damp. being a metamorphagus she chaged it thicker and longer and bangs a little below her eyebrows. she becasme tanner and een though she hated affecting her natural height she only made her torso shorter and her legs a little longer as to not look like a freak. she slipped on her 3 inches above the knee red dress. it was strap less wth flowers above the top near the strap. it was beautiful then she picked up her mask and magicly put it on her face so it would stick for the night but she could take it off as she pleased. her mask was hand painted and covered only the nose and up. it was black and gold and white striped with red ringlets of paint on it.
the idea made by Professor McGonagal was that you could do whateer until midnight then whoever it is you are dancing with you have to kiss with out knowing who it is you are dancing with then remove the mask. She didnt tell Cedric what she looked like to Cedric just to make it funner but se could easily find it out eventuallly he is the only one who is tall great hair and biceps but whatever she was almost done getting ready.

Monica was in her room looking at her book trying to decide which mask to wear. She had been thinking about it for a long time but she still hadn't decided on a mask. She heard Roxy getting ready that she thought she better start getting ready herself. She went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She showered in a warm 15 minute shower. She stepped out of the shower and combed her shoulder length red hair. She had used a curling lotion to add some bounce to her hair. She fixed her hair so it flowed nicely around her face.
Monica put her robe on and walked out to her bed. She went over to her trunk and looked at the dresses she had to choose from. She didn't know if she was going to wear the plain black knee length or the blue satin strapless just above the knee. She tried them both on and decided on the blue dress. She fixed her lips so that they would stay moist with the red lipstick she wore.
Monica then grabbed the mask with the blue stones encrusted just in the corner of the eyes. The mask was a lighter blue then her dress with accents of red. She hadn't told Harry what she would be wearing.

Sam was in Diagon Alley choosing a mask and a ballgown for the party that her and Seamus were going to. Seamus went to go and get a tux.

she then started blowdrying her hair and slipped on the dress. a bunch of the girls were going to meet in the common room at 9 for the party well she looked at the clock it was 845 ohh snap time to meet so she walked down the stairs and looked at the chrsitmas tree which was still up from before. her and cedric had a pack they could do whateer tonight so they could both have fn they were secure enough with each other that they could truat it would be nothing whatever happened under those masks stayied under the masks. so she waited near the tree for her girlfriends.

Monica took one more look at herself in the mirror. She touched her lips up again and straightened the mask. "Well I guess I am as ready as I will be." she said to herself. Monica removed the mask to make sure she didn't have any marks if it was on for too long. She looked at the clock on her table and realized it was time for her to meet the rest of the girls down in the common room.
Monica walked out of her room and down the stairs. She saw Roxy standing by the tree. "Hello Roxy." Monica said as she reached the last step.

Shanny was in her room, preparing herself for the party. She hardly ever dressed up and decided that tonite would be the night for fun and dare she say it 'makeup'. She put her hair into a twisty turned old fashioned style and let some hairs hang wispy and curled on her face. She picked up the dress that she would be using, it was a vibrant crimson gown, with a V neck. The sleeves were 3/4 lengths. She had a ruby pendant that hung near her kneck and had a matching braclet and earing drops too.
She soon put it on and looked in the mirror. She had to admit she looked fantastique, it fit her perfectly. She was happy that the babies and Jordan were spending the night with their Grandma Molly and Papa Arthur. She looked to the wall clock that began to chime. "Oh great I'm gonna be late..." She quickly applied the mask that was matching red with gold trim. A simple mask to help adorn her outfit. She looked to the door hoping Charlie would hurry. He told her he'd be there he was going as a regent for the medival times, no real mask. She pulled her cloak about her shoulders to hide her dress from anyone who might be in the common room and went down the stairs to meet up with her friends.
When she got down stairs she saw Rox and monica standing by the tree. "Hello there" she said making her way to them, and looking baout for Charlie.

"Hey Shanny love the mask." Monica said as she noticed her looking for someone. Monica wasn't worried about Harry. They had decided to meet at the party.

"Thanks i know its a little bland but the res tof my get up will make up for it. " She said scanning the room once more "Have you seen Charlie by any chance?" She asked hoping she had, maybe he was with Harry or Cedric waiting for them at the party.

"No I haven't seen any guys." Monica replied. "You know I wouldn't be surprised if they decide not to show up." Monica said jokingly. "Even though they know they would be killed if they did that." Monica said.

"haha yeah they will show up come on tonight we are having some real fun girls night out screw the guys we are gonna have our own fun ok so both of you dont worry about your men and lets go have fun'' she said then grabbed their hands and they walked into the beautifully decorated great hall with music playing and few people on the dance floor then she looked to her two friends and said "so you ready to dance?" with a smile under her mask. you really couldnt tell who they were if you didnt know them which was kindof the point.

Monica didn't like it how Roxy thought she was worried about her man but just ignored the comment. Monica walked around the great hall looking at all the people trying to find their boyfriends and girlfriends. She almost chuckled out loud when she saw a blonde haired boy trip over his robes trying to reach her. Before he made it a tall thin dark haired boy came over and offered his hand for a dance. Monica took his hand and went out to the dance floor.

A tall dark headed boy grabbed Monica and two brunettes nearly bumped heads trying to get to Roxy in matching masks they were so weird and said "NO me'' back and forth then she said "guys guys hello now enough me for everyone lets all three dance me in the middle" then she went to the middle both guys nearly on her dancing to the beat.
Cedric walked in the Great Hall and saw all the people dancing in masks. he kept it simple with a black suit black tie and a black mask with a tiny sier R in the upper corner which he added himself. he wanted to keep Roxy with him all night even though they agreed to be seperate for the night. ROxy had done the same with a C in the corner for him but they didnt tell each other. He went and asked a tall blonde haired girl to dance in a gold dress she was getting fresh so he backed off and said "No girl I aint like that" then she pulled his hand and said "I am sorry dont leave'' then she smiled and they danced again but normally

Monica and the tall dark haired boy danced together for two dances when the blonde haired boy came over and asked to cut in. The dark haired boy bowed and kissed Monica's hand as he handed her over to the blonde. He put his arms around her and smiled, "Now this is where I want to stay all night." Monica didn't say anything but recognized the voice.
Monica had noticed the Roxy was dancing with the Creevey brothers. She was really good at picking out who everyone was. She noticed Cedric had walked in and was dancing with Romilda Vane and that he also had and R on his mask. The blond was dancing with Monica when a skinny red head came up and interrupted. "Sorry dude she is mine now." Monica just laughed as either Fred of George took her hand.

Shanny giggled as her friends got wisked off and onto the dance floor. She stood there with her cloak still tight about her shoulders hoping to find Charlie. He promised he'd be here, she told herself. After about 5 more minutes of standing about she decided she didn't care and took off her cloak. She dress stood out from everyone elses, and she had to admit she looked very nice. It only took about 3 seconds for someone to come and ask her for a dance. He was tall and had messy brown hair. "Sure" she said courtseying and taking his hand.

As Monica and the Weasley boy danced another red head came up and took her hand for a dance. "I guess I will never know who is who." Monica said to this Weasley. "Oh I could tell you but then that would ruin all the fun." he said as he pulled her closer. "Oh now I know." she said with a smile. "OH I should have known you would remember my grip." Fred said. "So have you figured out which girl you want to end the night with?" Monica asked. "OH I know which one I want but I think the line is way to long." he said as he pointed at all the guys walking towards them. Monica just laughed. "And half of them don't know who I am." she whispered.
"No but with the red hair and curls it always draws them out." Fred said as he kissed her hand before leaving her with some one else.
