Did anyone see that she may be writing an eigth book? Check out mugglenet--they have a link to take you to an article. Yahoo!!!!! (I'm really happy!!) could that be the Encyclopedia? All I have read from Jo herelf has said the 7th book is definitely the last except for the Encyclopedia   |

I really hope that there is a 8th book but part of me dosent because then we cant see the end in the next book. Hmmm i think maybe that i would like the series to never end. If she does continue until she dies, id be glad to take over!

The article described it as "scenes that were cut from the first 7 books" so it sounds like an encyclopedia type thing to me. I still wish she'd write Hogwarts:A History--that would be awesome!!

I DON'T want JKR to write anymore than 7 books on Harry. Seven really is a recurrent number. Voldemort splits his soul into 7 pieces. There are 7 years at Hogwart's. There are 7 Weasley Children. There are 7 members on a Quidditch team....Its seems that JKR is determined to keep Harry's story a tale of 7 parts!

yeah.. i kind of agree w/ sala about the whole seven thing, even if i don't want the books to end.. i really had no idea that jk was making an encyclopedia... that's wicked! the idea for Hogwarts, A History is pretty wicked, also... i still think it was neat of her to make Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them... that was cool... she did those for charity... maybe she could do Hogwarts, A History too???  |

Sala's right! 7 is the magical number. Do you think Harry is going to have 7 people in total close to him dead in by the final book? (James, Lily, Sirius, Dumbledore <--Supposebly he's dead) that's 4 in total..hmm *thinking*

You know what I was thinking... I want to know what happened before. Like how Superman has Smallville. I want to know about when Lily and James met, what they dealt with, how everyone knew everyone. We see snippets and whatnot, but you never get the whole story behind it. I think it'd be interesting.
