I really wouldn't much mind what happens to Harry so long as it's not a cop-out ending, which I think would be far more tragic than offing the boy.

I don't understand how anyone can say that by killing Harry the seven books would be for nothing, though. Just by killing the main character, it doesn't rob the other books of plot. And if he dies saving the Wizarding World? That would not count for anything because he didn't live?

Quite truthfully, I'd feel more obligated to picket her house if she wrote a predictable ending just to make the fans happy and thought anything but rainbows and "happily ever after" wouldn't please people.

No matter what happens, so long as it ends in a good manner, I'll be happy. Even if Harry dies.

If JKR has planned on killing Harry she better think twice before adding it to the Final Book unless she wants to live a life of escaping MILLIONS of mad fans.

If harry did die (oh god please no) then I'd probably deny it for a long while. And when it finally hit me that Harry actually was dead and wasn't coming back then I'd probably rant and scream and kick and throw a big fit...and then go yell at JK...if her whereabouts are still know, she might have gone into hiding by then to escape all the furious fans.

well i would completely overfill the prefect's tub with tears for 2 reasons.

1. I LOVE DAN AND/OR HARRY.

i'd probably have to put the book done to cry for a bit and then pick it up and read the ending. it'll be a sad moment for me but i think that i already know that he will die in this last book. i well be disappointed in jkr to make all these books and have her hero die. but if he does die doing something right like killing off voldy then his memory well live on. it'll be like king theoden dieing in lord of the rings i had to cry in theaters and when i read it in the book. i great man doing something for his people and dieing for a cause
