Also, I won't be surprised if JK is telling a lie about just 2 characters being killed....REMEMBER: there are MILLIONS of fans who are trying to figure out the last book...The last thing she would want is if someone figures it out...
Also, I believe Dumbledore is still alive...I don't believe JK saying that she killed him off (for the same reason above).

I don't think she meant that just 2 characters die. I think she meant that 2 main characters die that she had originally not intended to kill. I know that there are going to be many murders in this book.
I don't think JK would lie about something like killing Dumbledore. I think he is dead because his portrait is in the Headmaster's Office.

I agree with Nutz. I'm sure more than 2 charactars have been killed. There's just two she did not intend on killing, & one that was spared in the middle of the book (I wonder if that person was killed eventually.)

I think what she meant by that was that she added two deaths to the death toll, not that there were only two deaths.
I believe her about Dumbledore, as much as I wish it wasn't true.

I know that the portrait of DD is on his office...BUT it DID NOT SPEAK! (like Phineas' and the others) Mcgonagal stared at it...Being that it's DD's office and he's a powerful wizard he can make a portriat appear....
I don't know I think Dumbledore is still alive....only the book will prove me wrong....

That is true the portrait didn't speak but I think it said something about it breathing and looking like he was a sleep. I just don't see how he could be alive and have a protrait at the same time. I know he is powerful and can do so much but I just think that would be too easy. We will definatly know in 160 days. I would love for Dumbledore to be alive but I really feel that Harry has to do it without Dumbledore.

I honestly think we have a lot more to see from Harry. We haven't seen his full powers, and we will in the seventh book. He is strong enough to do this without Dumbledore. He needs to do it without Dumbledore, this is his(Harry's) fight.

Yes that is how I feel too Leigh. The only help he will get from DD is through words and nothing else. Harry has grown so much since the beginning of the 6th book. They were still mourning the lose of DD so we didn't see anymore of his powers.

He has grown a lot. Physically and emotionally. His powers, I think, will somehow get greater in the next book. They have to if he's going to defeat Voldemort!
Of course, we know that love will ultimately be the force that will rid the world of Voldemort.
OH! SAD THOUGHT!!! What if Harry sacrifices himself for someone he loves, like his mom did for him? If Harry can destroy all of the horcruxes, and if Voldy then tries to kill the person Harry sacrificed himself for, Voldy would die because he has no horcrux to keep him alive.
The only problem with that is.. Voldy is not stupid. Would he really make the mistake again?

Oh Leigh youdid it again. That is what I think will happen. Voldemort will try to kill Ginny and Harry will throw himself infront of her and die and so will Voldemort.
How would it be a mistake? Who's to say that Voldy will know that his Horcruxes are all gone? Voldy doesn't know that Dumbledore knew about them or that Harry knows too. Not unless some one tells him but I don't see who could unless Snape knows. I don't think that Dumbledore would tell Snape everything.
Now I have even more questions.

Sorry! It was just a thought as I was typing that post!
Well.. I was saying that the last time Voldemort killed someone who sacrificed themself for someone, it was his downfall. He would know the consequences now, so I don't think he's going to be so likely to do it again. Even if he still thinks he has horcruxes... He had horcruxes when he killed Lily and James, didn't he? And we know what happened... Voldy knows what happened! I don't see Voldemort doing that again.

Yeah I can see what you are saying. I guess it is just going to come down to Harry and Voldemort just fighting it out. Voldemort is also known to not think clearly all the time. Especially when he is fighting.

Because he won't kill whoever it is that Harry sacrificed himself for after he's killed Harry.
Another thought though is what if Harry sacrifices himself for everyone while only seeming to sacrifice himself for one person? Like... hmm.. how do I explain this? He sacrifices himself, but even though it'll only block one person from the actual curse, the spell would protect everyone he loved. Then, the unknowing Voldy-Moldy would try to kill someone else Harry loved and the spell would rebound. That's the only thing I can think of for that situation, and it seems a bit out there...

It may seem a bit out there but this is Harry Potter we are talking about. This isn't normal stuff. We may be over analyzing it and it is something so simple. I feel that they are both going to die. I don't know how that can be I just don't see evil ruling the world after all of this. I also don't see story book endings either. Where it says and they lived happily ever after.
