Hi! I just finished it last night, and oh lordy was I in for the shock of my life. I honestly can't BELIEVE! that many people died... that was the biggest shock to me honestly. I don't know if killing a select few (like Mad-eye) was necessary but wow... what a way to end the book! Oh and yes, I'd say around 90% of my guesses came true. I did not predict that Snape would die. Or that Wormtail would die. Or that Dumbledore would stay dead. I guessed wrong as to what the Hallows were. But pretty much everything else I guessed. HAH! RON AND HERMIONE DO GET TOGETHER! IN YOUR FACES! Sorry. I've always been an H/G R/Hr shipper ;D

Ha. I loved the book. I laughed, cried, screamed, jumped up and down. You name it I did it while reading that book. It is by far the best book I have read in a long time. I knew a lot of people were going to die. I was shocked that as I read this book I could pick up clues and understand things a lot quicker then I have in the past. I knew that Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione would get together.

Excellent book--but, of course we expected that didn't we? I was so right about so much. Glad Snape's good/bad thing was finally answered! But I still have questions--hoping some of her upcoming interviews will provide answers! Anyway, it's been a great ride.

I KNEW IT!!! I just finished it today- I KNEW that Snape had feelings for Lily, but I had no idea that they were that close at hogwarts!! It wouldnt be my faveorite book, but I went through such a range of emotions from "AAARRRGG NOO!!!' all the way back to 'YAAYY!!' But I seriously think that all the killing was somewhat uneccessary

Only death which I didn't like was Mad-Eye, he died too quick and didn't get to do anything, its like he was back stabbed, had the worst role in book 7.

when we found out mad-eye died i wasn't that shocked. she kept saying she was going to kill some pretty beloved characters and i feel she did her job. Jo is a genius when it comes to plot execution, and she pinned this one right on the nose. like she's said before, this is a bettle of good and evil, things will get messy. voldemort's not going to just kill random people, he's going to go for the heart of the order.
i know it's a tired subject, but what did yall think of the epilogue?

Personally I thought that this book was the worst in the whole series. It left so many questions un answered. Like 1)why didn't harry and Ginny raise Lupin's and Tonks baby.... 2) Where was Charlie when all of this was going on? 3) What was Bills and Fleur rest of their married life entail 4) Who took over Hogwarts? I don't know just little things like this bother me...I think that since she introduced all of these characters it is her responcibilty to tell us what happened or at least what path they were on by the end of the book.
Although I loved the ending with Albus Severus he was my favourite...

Okay I beg to differ Shanny. I loved the book. The reason Harry and Ginny didn't raise Lupin's and Tonks baby was because he still had a living relative so the baby was raised by them. I would fathom to guess that Bill and Fleur lived a wonderful married life once the war was over. If you really want to know answers to questions read Jo's interview that I posted on here.
Those little things don't bother me. If little things do bother you than I am surprised that you don't wonder what happened at Harry and Ginny's wedding. Did Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione have a double wedding. Did Harry ever get to see his Aunt, Uncle and Dudley again. If so what was that like. I could come up with more if you would like.
I know I just added more questions for you to be bothered about.

I like all the books for different reasons. If I have to choose which is my fave that would be hard cause I love Deathly Hallows and the Goblet of Fire. They would be tied for my favorites.

I know. I loved the book. I took my time reading it and took everything in slowly. I thought she did a great job in summing up as best she could with out making the book over a thousand pages long. It DH had been any longer I think the story would have been lost.
I think this also gives her the opportunity to write a book for charity about what everyone is up to now that the war is over.
The last couple of books would all be tied for my fave for different reasons.
