YAY Thank God because the movie would be disappointing without him. I agree Sirius does have a big role in the 5th movie.

I'm glad that Gary Oldman is once again appearing as Sirius in the fifth movie. Because he plays his part well as Sirius Blac. He portrays him greatly.  |

I was surprised when reading on the Mugglenet newsletter which came out March 5 that states this about Gary Oldman:
Speaking of, Gary Oldman has still to be confirmed as playing Black in OOTP. There was some controversy on this topic a shorty while ago when Warner Bros. confirmed Oldman had indeed been cast as Black, causing uproar at the actor’s agency.
which I guess still means that he hasen't signed on yet.

Gary Oldman to return in OOTP
Gary Oldman's long-time manager Doug Urbanski sealed the deal this morning with Harry Potter producer David Heyman: the actor will reprise the role of Sirius Black in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie.
"I'm so relieved and happy," said Urbanski. "I can't put my mind in the place of the producers, but I would've thought that when they read the book, a call to us would've been very high on their list. Obviously, the character of Sirius Black is key."
Oldman's manager mentioned Oldman had been offered several different film roles in the time it took Warner Bros. to make a decision on the part of Harry's godfather.
Both Gary and manager are delighted with the highly anticipated outcome: "It's a wonderful role. Gary read the script last night, and he read part of it to me on the phone this morning. The end of the story is: Gary's in it. It's a terrific script, and he's so happy to be back."
YAY! He is officially in OOtP I don't know why they didn't secure him sooner.

Well there are some change for who is playing Bellatrix Lestrange... here from mugglenet: Helen McCrory will no longer play the part of Bellatrix Lestrange in the fifth Harry Potter movie as she is currently pregnant and will be heavily so by the time they film the Ministry scenes. She is set to be replaced by Helena Bonham Carter. Helena played the part of Charlie's mother in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.here is a picture of Helena Bonham Carter  And here is some more people for different parts: Apple Brook, who's appeared in stage, TV and film productions for more than 25 years, will portray Care of Magical Creatures substitute teacher Professor Grubbly-Plank.
Finally, the younger versions of Sirius, Lupin, and Snape (who all appear in "Snape's Worst Memory") will be played by James Walters, James Utechin, and Alec Hopkins, respectively. Also, Jason Piper will "play" the part of Bane the Centaur. I wouldn't have picked Helena for the replacement though. I always thought Lindsey Baxter would be perfect as Bellatrix.....I can't find a photo of her but she was in the BBCs production of "Gormengast" as Zoe Wannamaker's (Madam Hooch) twin sister. Apple Brook looks EXACTLY how I imagine Professor Grubbly Plank to be....spooky! |
