"Good question!" she replied, still smiling. Sometimes she couldn't help but take life as a joke. Actually, sometimes it seemed to her like it really was.
"You need to be more serious," he told her.
"And you need to be less! What's life without a good bit of fun, anyway? You have to make the best of the situation, even if it's a bad one!"

"Not at all. I hate it in that house. Hate it beyond all reason," she said, looking up at the stars. It was surprisingly later than she thought it would be.
"Fine then. Do you think your friends will find you?"
"I wouldn't put it past them, but it'll be hard. Besides, I could hardly imagine if they arrived at the house.. That wouldn't be good."
