there's something in DH that really confused me. this passage: (chapter 35, page 711) Dumbeldore says this to Harry when explaining what Harry's wand did the night Voldemort chased him : "I believe that your wand imbibed some of the power and qualities of Voldemort's wand that night, which is to saythat it contained a little of Voldemort himself. So your wand recognized him when he persued you, recognized a man that was both kin and mortal enemy, and regurgitated some of his own magic against him." now that got me thinking, maybe Harry and Voldemort might be related. i mean, voldemort was related to the Gaunts, who were decendants of the Perverells, and Harry was decended from Ignotus Peverell, and kin means family... so that must mean that harry and voldemort, however distantly, are related! that makes sense, right? or does it just sound nuts beyond belief? i want your honest oppinion.

To be honest, I can see your point. They are kinda related, the way that they look and how they have had similar lifestyles. Harry is related to the Perverells because of the Deathly Hallows and Voldemort is related to the Gaunts for taking the ring from them and making it a Horcrux. That is a very good point to bring up. And I think they do look the same and have had similar pasts, but the only thing that parts them is that Harry loves his friends and family whereas Voldemort doesn't. And that's the power that the Dark Lord knows not. Once Harry has destroyed the Horcruxes, he will ask Voldemort to have remorse for the people that he has murdered, to try and see if he shows love towards those that have disappeared. This will be the final test and Voldemort will be unable to do this, so he will be murdered and Harry will become victorious.
