To put your name on an avatar you have to do that when you make the avatar itself. Its part of the picture.

How on earth do you make and avatar? can you do that? also i can't acutally get an avatar i tried to do wot u said by going on that website but it didn't exactly work i'm really really really confused. also how do i get more stars and not be a muggle anymore? soz if i confused you!!!

superstarr, since you are having trouble, just PM (personal messgage) me saying which avatar you want and I will do it for you. If its from my site, just tell me what it says underneath the avatar (i.e. avataranim65.gif)
To get more stars here is called 'Ranking', they add up by how many posts you make. Check out the 'Ranking' thread in this 'how to:' section.
As for making avatars, thats not that hard, you just ahve to have the programs and an Idea. I use Macromedia Fireworks.

quidditchqueen, to make avatars there are so many programs , too many to mention here.
I use Macromedia Fireworks and sometimes Jasc Animation Shop.
