I know that this has nothing to do with this forum, I really don't want yall to miss the rules for the chatroom. Yoy can visit the chat room at the home page of this site by putting your mouse at the Sonorus button and clicking the chat button. If you agree with the rules, click the I agree button. The chat may take 30 seconds to 1 minutes and 30 seconds for the whole chat box to come up. Depends on your connection and your connection speed. These following rules were written by Jane. Not me.
EVERLASTINGMAGIC CHATROOM
This chatroom is java based, so your computer must be java enabled. It is a free chatroom service so you may get pop-ups (just close them). It is only one chatroom so anything you say can be read by all other users online at the time. To talk privately to just one other person, use the 'Private' button and invite them. That way no other people can listen in.
Also if you feel someone has said something wrong, mean, degrading, insulting, inappropriate or anything you feel uncomfortable about. Don't talk to them any longer and leave the chartroom immediately, if the horrible person is abandoned in a chatroom, they will have no-one to talk to
The following are general rules in the chat that MUST be followed:
- No giving out personal information.
- No cursing (any word that is offensive to someone of any age is considered against the rules)
- No advertising (do not advertise other websites in the main chat or through Private Messages)
- Do not use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS (this is perceived as screaming on the Internet)
- Do not spam the chatroom (spamming is sending many messages within a short timespan)
- Do not use an offensive username (offensive usernames include those with bad language in them, those that are degrading to others, and those that are all in capital letters)
- Do not argue with the moderators. The moderators are in the chatroom to enforce the rules. If you think that you are being reprimanded for something that is not included in the rules, read over the list once more and you're bound to find it. (Then again, if you're doing something against the rules, you probably haven't read the rules yet.)
- Do not use excessive characters. One exclamation mark is sufficient - there's no need to type "I'm happy!!!!" when you can type "I'm happy!" This rule applies to all characters (letters, question marks, periods, etc.). The number of excessive characters that constitues a kick is four.
- Do not use excessive smileys. Smileys are great fun, but when overused, they slow down other's computers and make the chat more difficult to read. You may only use two smileys per message. If you're teaching another chatter how to use certain smileys, show them in a private message so that it doesn't distract other chatters.
- Use English only. Although we recognize that many visitors reside in non-English speaking areas, we ask that you only use English in the chatroom.
- This is not a dating service.
