Its an interesting question, but what is your take on the Noble House of Slytherin?
Personally, I think Slytherins are motivated go-getters who know what they want from life. Slytherins are very intelligent and will work for their own personal gain, regardless of who they have to push aside on their way to the top.
Are all Slytherins evil? No, I don't think so. Look at Horace Slughorn for example. He was a trophy hunter. He preferred to bask in the glory of others rather than seek that glory for himself. He was just lazy. The other Slytherins have principles that they are determined to uphold. Perhaps they are right that the wizard race should be entirely pureblooded, or perhaps not. The Dark Lord and Snape are half bloods and they are much more powerful than the gullible Wormtail, who is a pureblood.
Anyway, what do YOU think?

I agree they are go- getters I'm sure they can't all be bad and evil because if that was the case why where they allowed to be in the 4 people who made up hogwarts, yes some of them are evil Draco's dad, but some are perhaps put into Slytherin because they can be cunning, and unafraid which might help in the fight against evil. Evil can be in any house it depends on the person.

I think Slytherins are really just out for themselves, they'll sometimes hurt other people to get what they want. They're not all the same either. They just got put into that group because they showed more Slytherin qualities than any other.

Because of the quote; There hasnt been a Slytherin that hasnt turned bad in one of the HP books, Slytherins are stereotyped as an evil bunch. And because they seem to be forever hexing and cheating their way out of tight situations/quidditch matches, everyone immeadiatly points the finger of shame at them.And them having Draco Malfoy as the main Slytherin character dosnt really help their reputition. So yes, they are sneaky and extremly devious, doing whatever it takes to get what they want, and maybe thats why quite a lot of Slytherins have drifted to the Dark Lord.

Because of the quote; There hasnt been a Slytherin that hasnt turned bad in one of the HP books, Slytherins are stereotyped as an evil bunch. ppl are always using that excuse but for a start they always misquote it (as Doxy did  ) and ALWAYS read it wrong, just because the death-eaters were all from Slytherin doesn't mean all Slytherins are death-eaters. That's like saying because all blond are stupid, then all stupid ppl must be blond! it makes no sense!!! |

I don't think all Slytherins are evil... just watch... maybe in the 7th book Draco Malfoy may turn out to be a person who helps Harry!
