I'm not very sure about this, so please do not scream at me Im just wondering why J.K Rowling decided to introduce the hallows. It was unnecasary but as one of my previous posts were, I'm not sure how harry came back to life. Other than that, the hallows made no difference to the plot besides the fact it stalled Voldy from going to Hogwarts for a while as he was after Gregorovitch. (Maybe Harry was a master of death, and that's how he came back? i Dunno!) anyways, please give your ideas. --Admin edited subject line to include *SPOILER*, just for good measure--

goodness whosrab, no offence but you really need to read the book again if you cant understand it.
The book had to pretty much answer all questions to wrap it all up and the book was soo jam-packed with info that if everything wasnt explained it would be way to confussing, she had to explain the Deathly Hallows fully other wise it would have seemed to be just pulled out of the air and not somehting thats meant to be part of the story from the beggining.
As for Harry, he had 2 of the 3 parts of the deathly hallows with him when he died, thats one reason he survived. Also since he had the 7th (or 6th) part of voldemort in him sicne he was a horcrux when voldemort killed Harry with the elder wand, once again it backfired since Harry had the 2 other DH parts and he was himeself part of voldemort, so the voldemort part of him got destroyed, leaving Harry partially dead PHYSICALLY but he soul was well and trully in tact, and having the 2 DH parts he had the choice to come back and finish everything.
Oh and since Harry offered himself fully as the sacrafice, thats another reason he survived. And Voldemort taking Harrys blood in GoF is part of it too.
"But I should have died - I didnt defend myself! I meant to let him kill me!"
"And that", said Dumbledore, "will, I think, have made all the difference."
...make sense ?

Oh I loved the Deathly Hallows part. It makes total sense. Plus I think since the Harry was also the rightful owner of the elder wand I think that may also have been a reason that he didn't die.
I have to add too that I knew Harry was a Horcrux. I had said that all the time. It was by accident.

I have to add too that I knew Harry was a Horcrux. I had said that all the time. It was by accident. Yes, you're right. The elder wand should have been powerful enough to destroy the Harry Horcrux (like the basilisk venom and Gryffindor's sword), but it didn't because the wand belongs to Harry so it never worked properly for Voldemort. Or maybe it killed the part of Harry that was Voldemort.....ok, I'm starting to confuse things now. However, Harry chose to allow himself to be killed and because he owned the three Hallows (even though one was in Voldemort's hand), he had the power, thats the Master of Death bit, to choose whether to go on to the after life or come back to fight.

You aren't confusing me too much, Sala. Yeah I think the wand knew that Harry was the rightful owner so it killed the part of him that wasn't truly him. I hope that makes sense.?. Yes Harry did choose to die which is what I think is a very strong reason he didn't die.

Alos to another part of Harry surviving death was that Voldermort had taken harry's own blood and used it... and so Dumbledore said something like since Lily's enchantment still lived in through Harry's blood in Voldermort, Harry still survived death.
I think it was something like that, though that whole chapter I had to read slow, lol, to fully get everything.

I think the part of Voldemort that was in Harry pretty much acted as a barrier, a shield if you will, against Avada Kedavra. The spell hit that part of Voldemort's soul, and didn't even touch Harry, in a sense. I'm sure the Deathly Hallows thing helped, but I doubt it was the complete reason he was able to come back.
