Just state your vote and then tell what you liked and didn't like about it!
I voted 6 out of 10.
There was just TOO much wrong with it for me. Unlike GoF, where all they got rid of was minor subplots, they got rid of major points. Like what was with Uncle Vernon? He was WAY too calm. And Sirius was NOT hit with Avada Kedavra! I was also disappointed with how small Ron and Hermione seemed to be in this movie. I wished we could have seen more of the Memory. I mean, there was a whole chapter on that in the book! Do you agree with me?
Of course, there were some good things. Like Filch, and revenge on Umbridge, and Luna. The thestrals were awesome, and the Ministry scenes were good. Especially the part where Voldemort invaded Harry's mind. Totally cool. Although Grimmauld place was NOTHING like I expected, it was okay (though I missed the screaming portrait).
So that's what I thought of it. What about you guys?

I gave it an 8 out of 10.
I really enjoyed sitting in the theater watching it. To me the last couple before this one, I haven't enjoyed as much. I really particularly liked flashing through Harry's memories and getting all the glimpses of the movies before. Especially with Sirius' death and the ending scenes to me this movie was one of my top for the series so far.
(oh I was waiting for the screaming portrait also... like when they should scenes in the hallways I would cringe waiting for the portrait to scream out in a shrill voice. But also at the Order of the Phoenix head quarters I wanted more from the life there... because to me in the book a big chunck of the beginning was harry and all his sulking.)

I gave it 9 out of 10 too. I saw the movie 4 times on the day of the release. The first time I watched it I was comparing it to the book. I was disappointed about it but then I went and watched it as just a movie. I feel that all these movies in the HP series have been able to stand on there own. I feel that they kept a lot of the important things in the story. Yes the portrait not screaming was sad but was it really worth seeing. I don't think so.
We don't really know what Sirius was killed with in the book. I believe it just says that a jet of light hit him square in the chest. We just assumed it was red because that is what is mentioned in the sentence just before that scene.
When I first read this book I didn't care for it because of how angry Harry was. After reading it for the 3rd time I started to enjoy the book. This book is very dark and sad. I felt Dan did an excellent job in making, at least me, feel the angst and turmoil Harry was feeling. When the movie started and Harry was sitting on the swing and watching the boy with his mom you could see the sadness in his face. When Dudley started teasing him you could see Harry getting angry and sad at the same time. I cried when I first watched it because it really touched me.
I can't say this is the best movie but it is not the worst movie. You have to look at these movies as movies and not the book being put on film. I am sorry for such a long post but those are just a few of my opinions.

I gave it a 9. I felt that although they did miss out on SOME small parts, it was not perfect. It was slightly rushed through, with alot of the scenes unexplainable to some of the people who had not read the book. I think that he(the director) was aiming to please the HP fans more than the general audience as most people would have read the book before.

Firstly, this was the reason why I started the Sirius IS Alive Club. Because seeing as he didn't get killed by the Avada Kedavra Curse, then how did he die? Because I re-read the OOTP book where that part happened and it didn't say any other cause of how he died. I suppose it's because of the Veil. I mean he went through it and never came back, so I suppose that's how he died.
Anyway, about the film. Yeah I liked some aspects of it, and I did think that it was the best movie in the series. And, yeah, they do miss stuff out, but they do that with every book that gets turned into a movie, so you can kind of expect that thing to happen. But I did like the Finale, Dumbledore fighting Voldemort. And the way that Dumbledore could do more than one spell at a time that was interesting. So, I really enjoyed the film and I hope you all did too.

I gave it a 8 out of 10, because I still don't agree with the whole Sirius' death thing.
And I believe in the book he was hit with the Avada Kedavra curse, although it wasn't described, it was noted as a green flash, insinuating that it was the Avada Kedavra curse from our past introduction's to the curse.
