So, the Harry Potter books are done (and wasn't that short little prequel cute?? I love Sirius and James!) and now... well... we need something else to read to fill that unfillable void. I say we all make a list of books we suggest to one another. =)
Here are mine. =)
Twilight Series - Stephenie Meyer, which I think most of you have read. The Wheel of Time Series - Robert Jordan Song of the Lioness Series - Tamora Pierce Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series - Rick Riordan (really funny with a lot of Greek mythology) Looking for Alaska - John Green (amazingly awesome!) An Abundance of Katherines - John Green The Twelve Kingdoms Series - Fuyumi Ono (interesting, once you get into it.) Morganville Vampire Series - Rachel Caine (fairly amusing.) Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher (a really good look at how little things you do affect other people.)
Okay... that's all I'm going to do for now. Gah, I read a lot of series. =/

Oh I like this section.
Now I don't know if I would necessarily list series that I like because I read single books too. Right now the book series that I am interested in is The Lord of the Rings. It is hard to get into but once you get rolling it is hard to put down. I really do enjoy it.
The Twilight series is the next one I am going to read. Eragon Cycle the third book is to be released Sept. 2008. Love the books. I haven't read the Golden Compass books yet. Those are only a few of the series that I have read. That I think are appropriate for this site. I also read Romance novels but I think most of the members on here are a little to young to read them.

Yeah, sorry. I mainly read series, which is the only reason most of them up there are series.
I'm waiting for John Green's newest book, Paper Towns. I cannot wait. He's a pretty amazing author. At the moment, I'm still reading the 4th in the WoT series, and then Mansfield Park by Jane Austen.
Okay, I have some additions. I'll be adding more as I pack up my books tonight. (Mom won't be happy about that, since I have to go to work in the morning, but, still...)
Enthusiasm - Polly Shulman. That's really good and funny if you like Jane Austen. (The two main girl characters are also named Ashleigh and Julia, which is funny to me because my name is Ashleigh and I have a really good friend named Julia. Although the personalities aren't right.) Also, I confess I've been leaving out Classics... which is pretty much because you have all heard of them before.
The Gemma Doyle Trilogy - Libba Bray A Wrinkle in Time Series - Madeleine L'Engle Death Note - Tsugumi Ohba (if anyone likes Manga) The Truth About Forever - Sarah Dessen Hacking Harvard - Robin Wasserman (pretty funny.)
AGH! I just found a second copy of HBP in my bookcase. Hahahahaha. I'll have to give that to my mom. (Yes, my house has three HBP copies, and four DH... not to mention at least two of all of the others. I'm a nerd, it's true.) Okay, on with the list!
A Northern Light - Jennifer Donnelly
Okay, box 1 is filled! WOO! Box 2
For Freedom - Kimberly Brubaker Bradley Taking Liberty - Ann Rinaldi
Okay, that's all I have for now. Sadly, those (as in, all that are in the two big boxes, not only just the ones I listed) aren't nearly all of my books... most of my books are at various friends' houses...

Wow great list of books everyone. There are quite a few that you guys listed that I have never heard of. I think I will have to start copying the lists and looking up the books to see if I would be interested in any of them.

Tessa, gah. We don't get credits for reading anymore. ='( Sarah Dessen is pretty much amazing. I have every book of hers EXCEPT Lock and Key... which I want, desperately. The Shadow Children Series is really good, I agree. Have you read Margaret Peterson Haddix's "Running Out of Time"? Catalyst was good, and the Gallagher Girls Series is rather funny. Also, Maureen Johnson's "Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes." I adored that, though the lead guy got on my nerves a bit.
Okay, some more
Witch Child - Celia Rees
And I've just finished reading these three: Newes From the Dead - Mary Hooper Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist - Rachel Cohn & David Levithan Geek High - Piper Banks (I didn't like this one as much.)

Okay you guys are adding to my reading list.
I should say my list of books to look at possibly reading some day.
I do want to read the books by Stephanie Meyers.

No, but I want to. Every time I go to get it, its not at the library, or at the Borders in St.Joe. Although, I can't say much on that Borders, because there isn't much selection. If we want to get a big selection we have to go to the B&N in K.C. *sigh* Sarah Dessen rocks, that is all there is too it! The Gallagher Girls Series is funny, I agree.
Has anyone read The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson? I'm only on chapter 7, and it is getting a little weird. I can't describe it very well. Kind of like a cross between depressing, weird and psychotic.

You're welcome! I finish Christopher Killer, and once you got past the weird darkness it was a good book. Now I have to wait until I go to Borders and hopefully they have book two, but I won't get my hopes up.

Ah I know what you mean. I have to go to borders to buy number 2&3 of the Twilight series. I ordered the 4th book already so I may pick them all up at the same time. I think I may just finish this book with in a weeks time.
