I am positive Fawkes will play an important role in the 7th book. Partly b/c of hints from Jo but also b/c we can't have seen the last of Fawkes!

Pheonixes don't die, and tho he belonged to Dumbledore, Harry has received help from him before because he (Harry) showed such devotion to Dumbledore. So, I think he'll be back in #7.

I think I have said this before, but I will say it again. Fawkes flew away after Dumbledore died, but we don't know where he went. It is very probable that he will come back in book 7 to help Harry defeat Voldemort. After all, he knows how loyal Harry was to Dumbledore.

Maybe he will now be mostily in Harry's possession and that Harry will use him more and that he will be useful to him in defeating Voldermort.

I'm not sure.....its time to move this story along and to finish it. Maybe Fawkes will appear in Book 7 and maybe he won't!

 I really believe that Fawkes will come back in book 7. When Harry was hurt from fight with Voldemort in CoS and GoF Fawkes was the one that cured his wounds..worse case scenario: Harry had a battle and he is somewhere alone with Ron and Hermione chances maybe it's Fawkes to the rescue. I don't know what you think?

I think that Dumbledore is not dead so therefore fawkes is just a phoenix and not an animagus.

yeah, coz in the seconed book Dumbledore said to harry that only true loyalty might summoned Fawkes , & Harry showed him that in the last pages of da last book...
