Yes i think it will. But i also believe that Dumbledore isnt really dead so whilst he's in hiding it's a good way for him to still communicate with Harry if he decides to go back to Hogwarts

I do think it will play a role in the next book, but as Harry said he was not going back to Hogwarts, he will not see the portrait at Hogwarts, he will probably have to go and see it some where else, the one that connects to someone else, maybe there is one in the Ministry of Magic.

I think it will--the previous headmasters (via their portraits) all help the current one and it would be a great way for him to also give guidance and information to Harry. I think Harry's not done with needing that from Dumbledore.

definetly! i hope that dumbledore shows how smart he is by showing up in a hogwarts portrait...afterall, portraits cant tok so why dosent harry just go tok to that portrait then?

Dumbledore might not be dead. If he has died I'm sure there will be a portrait of him as all Headmasters have them.

It was in the Headmaster's Office (the subject appeared to be sleeping), when Professor McGonagall and the other Heads of Houses met with Harry just after Dumbledore was killed. |
