I never gave it much thought but that is always a possibility. I think since she is being introduced into the movies that she will be in the last book.

if she was a drop-able character i dont think they would put her in the films. personally i hope she does, she's great, the 7th book is going to be dark enough, we will need someone to lighten the mood a bit!

But she is in the movies.. I think we might see her in there.. no one that isn't concerned personally with the war, in their right mind, will drop school & go fight. .. Luna isn't in her right mind.. nor apparenlty her Father.. so, I think she might make an appearance..

I think she must be as if she was a disposable character, they probably would have cut her out of the films but they didnt so she must have some special purpose later on as well. And besides I think Luna is one of JK Rowlings fav's isnt she ? That would definately mean a comeback  |

She is going to come back. Deathly Hollows without Luna! I can't even begin to imagine. She's not a character you can just get rid of. I think she'll end up helping Harry quite a bit.

I have a feeling that Luna will have a comeback similar to OoTP: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna fighting together once again.

Hey you never know she might be of some important help for Harry. I think that everyone one of them is needed to be successful, all of them in the group bring something different and all is needed together, so I do think that Luna will come back in the last book.

I believe she will be a major character in DH. I think she'll help Harry someway if he tried to figure the veil out. I don't think she had done her full purpose in the books yet. In OotP, she gave him support & showed him her weird theories. I think she'll be a crucial character in the book.

I think Luna will be there--but I have to disagrre that she's not very smart. I just think Luna marches to a whole different band (not just drummer) than most people. AND she is a Ravenclaw after all.
