Is not knowing whats going to happen the best part? if harry finally defeats Voldie, he wont be the angst-y under-dog anymore, he'll be a famous victor. thats not the character we fell in love with. what if ron and hermy get together, will they end up like mulder and scully who ran the whole show on the sexual tension between them but when they finally kissed, all the excitment, arkwardness, wondering will-they-wont-they was over. i dunno if i really want the lives of the potter characters to conclude and they're problems to be sorted. will it take away the charm of it all? i dont want it all to end...well, at least, i dont want it all to end happily.

Oh pureblood you are making get sad about the series coming to an end. I know that right now I can't wait for the book to come out and I will be happy and sad at the same time. If that is possible. I will be happy to have the book but sad because I will know it is over. This may be the best part but then we have to wait for the last movie to come out. Even though we will know what will happen it will be interesting to see the actors play their final scenes. Now I don't know what to think.

whoa..
well, there's no point hoping that the series will continue after the next book.. JK said there wont be any HP novels after that..then why so you want the series to end miserbly? I don't think that the end of the next book will leave anyspace for more charm.. I mean, The Trio will eaither die, or live.. maybe 1 will doe & 2'll survive. maybe 2 will die & 1 will survive. or they might all live. & even if they all live, Harry won't be changed. He had always put up to whatever the magical community thought about him, wheather a nutter or a hero, so he'll stay with the same personality. he has already so much losses to feel lucky to be The Chosen One. so even if he did defeat Voldemort, he won't start to boast around because of what he did, he will still feel cursed, even if the curse ended..

J.K is following the "Hero's Journey" down to the last letter. so it's pretty much assured he'll change, i'm afraid. although it might be in a change in a positive way for the character. but change he will.

I think waiting is an important part of the series, I don't think that if we didn't have all this time to wait in between the books, that books would so big. All of the theories and speculation wouldn't be around becuase we wouldn't have time to have the throughts brew in our head and just wonder what is coming next. I think the waiting is part of what makes the books even greater than just their writing and just reading them.

i think that the wait is worth it because this we be the only people in the world to ever experence this. all of the other HP fans after us can just go to the libary and get the books so in that way we are special!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is true Whynotcuse. We are getting to experience Harry Potter first hand. I am enjoying the wait and speculating about what is going to happen but at the same time I want the book.
I agree with you Pureblood that Harry will change but not sure as to how he will.

I agree banggeek I think the waiting is important because then when a new book comes out we all really want it so they sell lots. Very true whynotcuse how lucky for us that we have experienced the waiting and excitement for HP books I don't think this will happen again for quite awhile.

Well said Bandgeek!
I actually am loving the waiting right now! I don't want the series to come to an end, so, I would rather wait as long as I could. Maybe read the last book just before I die. Lol, jk! Of course I know that when I'm at the release party and the book is in my hands, I'll open it and start reading quicker than Hermione will ever be able to. I also know that I'll start crying at the last few chapters of the book, and may even stop reading, just because I don't want it to end. But the waiting is good too. I like the theories and everything.

For me waiting is no longer the best part, it used to, not anymore though! I CANT WAIT! The title is here, but where is the book? Yea still in JK's brain.

Hey I hope most of the book is written now and not in her brain. I am glad to be waiting for something so interesting but I also would like the book.

yeah like I said earlier... its the waiting that really makes this book what it is on forums like these. Imagine if we had all the books already out and we just had to read them right in a row, and we know all the answers to any theory we may have thought up in between the reading break between a book. This is what it will be like for the kids that read the series in years down the road. Would these forums and all the websites be so well populated and looked at for theories and speculation and ideas? Without the waiting in between there would be no reason to theorize, and without theories and arguments and different ideas from different people, where would all the fun be? Yes, we may still have some forums like these that could of talked about "what could have been" or "what JK could have done differently" but really without the waiting the reaction to the HP books, I think, would be quite different. (Oh and thanks for all of the nice comments about what I said earlier )
