This is the UK version you can access the US version by going on Mugglenet thanks to bandgeek. The US version looks better than the UK version. Today the book cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been revealed you can access it on www.bbc.co.uk/newsround. Wow the book cover looks really good, It is an older Harry, Ron and Hermione (the children's edition) are on the front. On the Adult's edition they have a picture of a locket with an s on it, the S stands for serpant. I think it is a horcrux from Voldemolt. I love the back of the book with the moon risen over Hogwarts. The book cover has finally been revealed on 28 March 2007. What do you all think of the new book cover? There are clues and hints what do you think they are? I think the sword is to do with the final battle with Voldemolt. I think they have to fight at Hogwarts. It looks like they are falling in a volcano or something like that on the children's edition. I have pre ordered the Adult esition so on the front cover of my book I will have the Locket.

These covers are just full of little clues. I looked so long at them and then went back and looked some more! The UK version is so full--Are they wounded? What is the firelight in Harry's glasses (and could it have caused the wounds?)? They all looked frightened to me. Could this be in a vault at Gringott's (all the treasure makes me wonder) and could that be Hufflepuff's cup? Dobby behind Harry with the Griffindor sword held aloft? (We've known the house elves have tremendous power--maybe it's time to see them in action) Is that the mirror of Erised behind them? A two-way mirror? I thought that was Hogwarts on the back at first with the whomping willow--but now I'm not so sure. Maybe it's Beaubatons--I guess it could be Durmstrang, but my mental picture of that school has always been "dark and heavy". Krum is supposed to appear in the last book, Fluer is there all along, and the object of the Triwizard tournament was "international magical cooperation".
Then the Us cover! Harry wearing the locket--he and Voldy dueling without wands--looks like they are in a stadium or something with others watching--or is that the veil in the forground?
Wow! so much here--I can hardly wait to hear what you have all discovered.

YAY I knew it would come out in March, didnt I tell everyone I think it may be in Gringotts, where else would there be that much gold You can see the UK adult and child covers, as well as the USA version on the front page of www.everlastingmagic.com (well in a few minutes after I posted this as I'm working on it right as I type this).. I'm going to add the full cover (back and front) some time soon but for now its just the front covers. Sooo exciting The shape on the side spine of the UK child edition is interesting. do you reckon it means anything ? Its a circle in a triangle.......interesting. Also the descriptions of the storyline on the covers: UK CHILD VERSIONHarry is waiting in Privet Drive. The Order of the Phoenix is coming to escort him safely away without Voldemort and his supporters knowing - if they can. But what will Harry do then ? How can he fulfil the momentous and seemingly impossible task that Professor Dumbledore has left him with ?UK ADULT VERSIONHarry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and distorying Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him.

If I do recall correctly, yes, Jane, you did tell everyone that it would be revealed in March. Very smart guesswork! The more that I stare at the cover, the more I can see that it does look like Gringotts. The descriptions of the storyline on the covers are really starting to make me wish that July 21 was coming sooner!

OMG!!! I was thrilled when I came online today and saw on my home page for comcast that the cover was released. I had originally guessed April but was hoping for March. I have looked at the US version and noticed the locket too. I didn't look at all the others in depth yet but I will.
Jane do you a description for the US version? I was just wondering because you only wrote the UK versions. Thanks for posting them they are very interesting. I can not wait for the book to come out. Now I am going to have to start reading the HBP book again. I am taking my time so I don't finish to early. (It is the 2nd time I am reading the book.)

I KNEW Gringotts would be in the last book! I had this theory that Dumbledore had prepared a will to Harry which might help him in his quest...I may be wrong who knows....
As far as the US cover I think Harry's battling in a stadium or something....VERY INTERESTING!! I can't wait!:0)

I think harry has to go back to Grimauld Place at some point. Have you noticed that the blur only mentions Harry not Ron and Hermione being there for him.

Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. [/i] [/quote] Sounds like there is going to be lots more of Jo's trademark "MUST-SHOW-CHARACTER-IS-ANGSTY-BY-WRITING-EVERYTHING-IN-CAPS" type dialogue!!! Am loving the adult European cover. Classy!

I've seen the UK covers and its strange you guys thought Gringotts, because as soon as I saw the Stone Arch I instantly thought of the Veil in the Department of Mysteries. They certainly look like they've fallen through the archway and there is something that they are facing that is frightening them. The reflection in Harry's glasses I believe is a person, whether Voldemort or Snape, I do not know. It is interesting that a house elf is wielding the Gryffindor sword, with its other hand on Harry's shoulder. Is it Dobby helping them or Kreacher betraying a master he never wanted to Bellatrix's Lord? If so, what is the significance of Voldemort getting Gryffindor's sword? Hmmm? There also looks to be armour there, silver with rubies, and a dragon on the helmet. A gold cup, a silver plate, and a couple of bottles, are they potion bottles? There is a lot of treasure there, and indeed it looks like a dragon's hoard, but I'm not sure this could be Gringotts as, if my memory serves me correctly, the vaults are guarded are they not? And they could only have got down there if a goblin accompanied them. So is that a house elf or a goblin behind Harry? And the back cover, Hogwarts bathed in the glow of a full moon.....hmmmmmmm very interesting

US - I definitely think that's the veil in the foreground! She said we'd see more of the veil! NOO HARRY! Don't get close to the veil!!! *cries* And there are other people in the background of course! I didn't see the locket until I say the high-res. And what is Harry reaching up for?!?!
UK Kids - With Hogwarts on the back, is it safe to assume that Hogwarts will be in the story? Also, at the bottom of the inside of the jacket, we see a stag. 0.o JAMES!!! Yay!
UK Adult - All of have to say is that they find the locket.
So... yeah... haha. I don't have as much to say as the rest of you.

Oh! I love it! I like the US version better, probably because I live in the U.S. The UK one just didn't look right to me (no offense). It definitely wasn't what I expected though...I guess I was thinking something darker. It's cool, anyway!
