Ok is it me or isn't Hermione's middle name Jane and not Jean????

I will have to check that and see. I never really paid attention to her middle name. When were we told her middle name??

I found this snippet on HP Lexicon.....
"In 2004, Jo told us her middle name was 'Jane' (WBD); however Rowling changed it to 'Jean" in Book 7, possibly so that Hermione and Umbridge wouldn't share the same middle name. 'Jean' is also one of the middle names of Rowling's daughter Mackenzie."

Thank you Sala. I don't ever remember reading her middle name in any of the books. So according to that snippet Jo told us but never really wrote it in the series until the last book.

Wow I never knew that. thanks for that info Sala very useful. I think her middle name is better as Jean. I think Jo forgot that Hermione had the middle name when she gave it to Umbridge when writing the fifth book.
