I can never think of movies. One of my favorites is The Sound of Music. When you say old movies about how old do you want them to be?

Yes I saw part of it at work last month. The kids were reading part of the book so they got to watch the movie. I love old movies too. Some are in black and white. I love Shirley Temple movies.
We could almost change this into discussing older movies.

For old films, you can't do much wrong by checking out these old black and white films....
Rebecca - starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine The Wicked Lady - starring James Mason and Margaret Lockwood Bringing up Baby - starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant
Or, if you prefer old coloured films....
Father Goose - starring Cary Grant and Leslie Caron Gigi - starring Leslie Caron and Louis Jourdan Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - Howard Keel (great musical!) Gone with the Wind - Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable
If you like horses, then I would also suggest The Man From Snowy River starring Tom Burlinson and Kirk Douglas....its a great film...
Monica, I love Sound of Music too...its such a great film....

Gone with the Wind is one movie I have never watched. I have always wanted to watch it. I will have to see if I can find in on television.
Sala thanks for those movie suggestions. I will see if I can find any of them. I watch alot of black and white films but have trouble remembering the titles. I think one of the ones I have watched is called Yankee Doodle Dandy. I can't remember who starred in it.
