Monica was in her room getting ready for the New Years Eve Party. Prof. Flitwick and Prof McGonigal had decided on having a party for the school. Every one hoped this year would be a great as last year.
Monica stepped out of the shower and toweled dried her strawberry blonde hair. She grabbed her make up bag and started to apply her make up. Next she fixed her shoulder length hair in a sapphire encrusted flower comb. She walked out of the bathroom and walked over to her bed where her long evening gown was located. The dressed was Sapphire blue to match her comb. The dress was strapless with a corseted waist. Monica pulled the zipper up in the back and walked to look at herself in the floor length mirror by the bathroom door. The dress was floor length with a slight flair through the skirt. Monica went into her jewelry box and retrieved the necklace that Harry had given her for their anniversary in Oct. She looked once more at her self in the mirror and smiled. She grabbed her shawl and walked towards her bedroom door.
She went down to the Ravenclaw Common Room to meet the girls before they headed down to the Great Hall for the party.

Megan smiled in ther mirror as she applied her makeup, excited for the party. She had her black and blonde hair straight on the bottom layer and the top short layer spiked up in an elagent poofy way. Her eyeliner made a a little swish at the edges of her eyes, her bright silver eyeshadow makeing her hazel light brown eyes glow.
She then took her dress from out of her closet. It was a rose pink strapless dress. The top formed tightly around her. The bottom the fluffed out to a little above her knees in more frilly like lace. She slipped her black shoes on and twisted her long white bead necklace around her neck a few times, to not let it hang to far. She then walked down the steps to meet up with the others.
"Hey Monica, you look great. I love the dress!" She said as she entered the common roo m, seeing Monica.

Roxy was out of the shower aand her long brown curly hair soaked with water. the steam still floing fromt he shower doors. she put a robe on the went in the mirror and put on make up. She and Cedric were meeting there. she had a strapless teal evening gown. it was a mermaid type dress with beautiful ruffles at the foot and relaly silky straight from the chest down. the top was really tight on her chest with a simple second layer of fabric doubling oer at the verry top. it was on a hanger in the bathroom. She finsihed her hair by drying it and made it huge and thick and curly. It looked kind of retro in a chic modern dress. she loved her differnet looks and really loved this one. then she slpipped on the dress and pulled out her grandmothers diamond earrings and put them on her ears. her big hair kinda covered it up but you could see them ina angle view. she looked at her hair in the mirror then as an Metamorphagus made it lighter colored and more volumized. she loved it then she put on her teal and 3 inch heels to make her seem a little taller compared to Cedric.
She walked down the stairs to ssee cedric standing at the end talking to some other guys then gave the guy his drink and walked over to meet Roxy at the foot of the stairs where shee kissed him and said ""Heyy handsome" then he said "WEll we bettter get out of here before my girlfriend sees us" then he kissed her hand

"Hey Megan. You look fantastic." Monica said. "The dress is perfect for you. I think Roxy is meeting us there with Cedric. I don't know about the others though." Monica said as she fixed her lipstick.

(Your making me dress up again... EH I'm gonna get you for this  ) Shanny allowed her hair to hang down as she slipped her Silver with white trime floor length dress on. She contemplated tying her hair out of her face with a clip from her wedding but decided not to and stood in the mirror as she finished her make up and put her shoes on. once she finished she stood in the mirror once more and admited that she wasn't to terrible looking. She had an airbrushed design on her collor bone and along her arm, that make up for wearing a strapless dress. Charlie appeared in her dorm he looked so handsome Shanny smiled. "Nice get up" He said taking her hands in his. She beamed as she kissed him. His velvet black cape flowing behind him as he carried Shanny down the stairs. "I can can walk, believe it or not." She said smiling as he refused to let her down. "I like to carry you" He said as he set her down, they saw Monica and Megan standing by the lower stairs and rushed ot greet them. "Hi guys" Shanny said smiling. |

"Hi Shanny and Charlie." Monica said as Charlie put Shanny's feet onto the floor. "I thought you had broken your foot for a minute when I saw Charlie carrying you." Monica said.
"I guess we are waiting for Dan and Aleysha and Sam probably." Monica said as she started to get restless.

"No" Shanny said punching Charlies arm. "He just refuses to let me walk anywhere by myself." She smiled. "You look very nice Monica" She said noticing her blue dress. "It suits you well"

"Hey Shanny and Charlie" Megan said as they entered the common room. She laughed as she saw them, Shanny in Charlie's arms.
"You guys look really good!" She said,"Yeah I guess they are still getting ready...Wonder where Bill is..." Megan said, the last part moslty to herself.

"I don't know about you guys but I am ready to go to the party." Monica said as she looked at her watch. "It is already 10:30 pm and we still have to find our guys." Monica said to Megan seeing that Shanny had her man.

"I win!" Shanny said smiling "I found mine 10 minutes ago..." She smiled at Megan who looked very nice as well.
Charlie told her "Bill takes longer than the average woman to get ready, no worries he was leaving mum's right after me..." He flashed her one of his smiles as he watched the clock. "So whats the plan?" He asked after a few more minutes of doing nothing.

Roxy and Cedric were getting drinks from the bar area waiting for their friends to get there then Ginny came up and said "Hey guys.." then she looked at Cedric and said "Wow red lipstick is really not your color." she said witha laugh then Roxy looked at him and smudged the red lipstick off his cheek then smiled and siad "well i think that red is definetly your color because lite dark red would not be your shade." then she laughed and said "wait wher is everyone else?''

As Monica stood by the door the door opened and Monica was staring at Harry. "Hello darling." Harry said as he looked Monica up and down. "You look beautiful." he said as he gave her a kiss. "Thanks you look very handsome." Monica said as she turned and looked at her friends. "Well we are on our way to the party are you guys going to join us." Monica said.

They saw Dean Thomas with some blonde they didnt know and he said "Fire-whiskey?" then held open a bottlel of pumpkn juice but could tell it was fire-whiskey she shook her head and said "No thanks mate we are going to try to stay sober for oone of these parties. but thanks maybe later mate" then Dean said "You sober Roxy? cant see that" he said with a smile then Roxy said "Shut up Dean that was a while ago ok I have changed I dont do that that much anymore" she said annoyed at him then Cedric pulled her away before she could do something about it. then he said when they were across the room "You never told me you were a drinker." he said then she said "I was but I am not anymore lets just move along and have a great time at this party." then she smiled kissed him and wlaked to get theier pictures taken by Rita Skeeter who was trying to find some dirt at Hogwarts to print about anything so she vollunteered to take the pictures of the couples at the New Years Party. So her and Cedric stepped in front then Rita said "AWw young Cedric I remember you and who is this" she said referring to Roxy then the quill went going and she said "why dont you take our picture and.." then Rita said "and why is she so veeral" she said refeering to her attitude then Cedric said "Yes this is my girlfriend Roxy and we are trying to get our picture taken so there you have all you need so please " then Rita got closer to ROxy and said "You wont laast with a gorgeous guy like that so if i were you i would do well just to break it off now becasue from what i hear you are a little bottle of troublemaking and always will so remmber for the party I willl lbe watching everywhere' she said then stepeped back and said "say cheese" then Rita snapped the camera and Cedric kissed her right as the picture took so it would be int he moving picture. Rita smiled then said "NEXT" then she pushed them out of the way and LUna Lovegood steppedup with her escort ROn Weasley. they went oer and Cedric said "I am sorry about her baby she is always like that especiallly about girls remmber how she freaked with Harry and Hermione." she smiled and said "Its ok I dont care lets go get another drink I am thirsty again" she said then they walked over to get a drink.
