((Sorry I haven't been on for a little while. I've been busy))
Dan had come down to the Great Hall with Harry a while ago and noticed he had found Monica.
"Hey Monica, you're looking lovely tonight," he said. He scanned around near the entrance of the Great Hall, trying to find his girlfriend.
"Aleysha's still not down," he said.
Reason why she wasn't down yet was because she had misplaced her necklace Dan got for her for her birthday last year. Tonight Aleysha was wearing a thin strapped sky blue dress that went all the way down to her feet and her favourite silver shoes which have a small heel. All her hair was up in a fancy clip except for two bits at the front.
She had started to panic, until she found her lovely silver heart necklace underneath her copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. She placed it around her neck and could now finally head down.
Dan was starting to worry about her. Everyone else had come down except Aleysha, and Sam still hadn't shown up yet either. Until he finally saw her coming through the doors.
"You're finally here!" he said to her while he hugged and kissed her. "What kept you?"
"I couldn't find something that's all," she replied.
"Well at least you're here, and may I say, you look absoultely stunning tonight," he said with a smile.

Harry and Monica walked into the Great Hall and saw Dan standing there worried that Aleysha wasn't ready yet. "Don't worry mate she will be here soon." Harry said to him. Harry put his arm around Monica and they walked in to the party. Harry noticed that Rita Skeeter was taking pictures of the couples as they arrived.
"Let's try to steer clear of her for awhile." Harry said as he turned Monica towards the dance floor. "I agree." Monica said as they hit the dance floor and started to dance.

Aleysha smiled at Dan's comment and realised that Rita Skeeter was here taking pictures of the couples.
"Oh, great, lets try keep a-"
"Why hello there, another well known couple around here. Daniel Radcliffe and Aleysha Potter," said Rita with a huge smile on her face.
"Hey Rita," said Dan.
"Do you mind, getting close to each other so I can take a picture?" she asked.
"Ok," Aleysha replied as Dan pulled her in closer and posed for the photo.
After Rita took the picture she said, "Sadly, I think you're another couple who won't last long either. I mean, with your family so involved with the Dark Arts Dan and since who your family worship wants dear Aleysha here dead, this is going to end in tears."
Dan had to restrain himself for not punching Rita in the face. He gritted his teeth and said, "Come on Aleysha, lets get a drink," and he steered her away from Rita.

Megan sighed, looking at the clock in the common room. She turned to Shanny and Charlie and said,"Hey guys I'm gonna go look for Bill okay? See you guys down there." She then left the common room.
As she was almost to the Entrance Hall she saw Bill running toward her. She smiled as he came to her breathing heavily,"S-Sorry I'm....late....Mum was trying to c-cut...my hair."
Megan laughed as he finished his sentence and kissed him quickly,"It's fine. You look great by the way."
He finally catches his breath and smiled back down at her,"Back at you." He says placing his hands on her hips, playing with the lace.
"Come on let's get in there." Megan says gabbing on hand and taking off with him. As they enter they see some of the others there. As they go to talk to them they hear a screech of,"Oh Megan "Black" and Bill Weasley! My, my, my, don't you two look cute together!"
"Oh no..." Megan mutters, and puts on a fake smile,"Hello Rita. Thank you." Bill stays silent, gripping Megan's hand tighter.
"Well this is a lovely new scoop! What happened to Mr. Malfoy?"
"We decided that it was better to stay friends..."
"Oh I see but what about your....child? Hayden wasn't it?" Rita says the last words with a teasing sneer.
"She's fine. She's with her grand-father tonight." Megan says her voice straining to stay calm, already knowing where this was going.
"Well isn't that lovely...Have you told her about her....begining?" Rita is now on a full out smirk.
"She's only a baby....She doesn't have to know of that yet...."
"Well of course she does! I mean she is practically a demon child!" Megan has had enough by this time, and glares at Rita, making Bill let go of her. She got face to face with Rita and said in a vicious whisper,"Don't ever talk about my daughter that way again or you will sorely regret it. She is not or ever will be like her real father." She glares at Rita one more time, grabs Bill's hand, and walks away. She trys to stay strong until she is far away from Rita, and soon feels tears start to fall from her eyes.

As Monica and Harry dance they see Rita cornering all of their friends. "I guess we were a little mean in avoiding her that we left all of our friends open to her assault." Monica said with a sigh. "Yeah well I have had enough of her. Plus she knows if she does anything to up set me I will reveal her secret." Harry said. Monica smiled, "Well maybe we should pay her a visit and just let her know that." she said as she noticed Megan not looking so happy.
Harry agreed and the walked over to where Rita was standing. "Oh MY!! Look at this cute couple." she says as she grabs Monica's left hand. "OH you mean to say!!" she said looking at Harry and Monica. "How did this get by me." she said as she crooned with excitement. "Oh the headlines now...." "I wouldn't even think about it." Harry said to Rita, "or I might just let it slip that you are an unregistered animagus." Harry whispered for only her to hear.
Rita gasped at Harry's words. "You do anything to upset my friends and you will be in severe trouble." he said as he pulled Monica close to him. "Now how about our pictures." Harry said as he kissed Monica softly on the cheek.

"Yes we'll be right there." Charlie said as he stooped to pick Shanny up. She gasped and ran for the door. "See" she shouted back "If I can run I can wlak." She rounded the corner and ran straightinto Hagrid.
"Uh, Hi" She said straightening her dress. "Sorry bout that Hagrid." She said blushing
Charlie came around the corner a devilsh grin spead across his face. "Got you now." He said as he wisked her off her feet. She sat there like a rag doll, a pouting face emerging from her usual lauging one.

Rita scowled at Harry as her photographer started to take pictures. "I do hope you two stay together." Rita crooned as the photographer took his last picture of them. "Oh we will." Harry said as he took Monica by the waist and walked her over to the bar.
"Well you handled that very well." Monica said as Harry ordered them some water.

"hey Harry hey Mon" she said to her friends then said "you see that horrible person snappping pictures she brought up my record and ughh I hate her. how does she know everything about everything it makes me want to strangle her withthat pen of hers." she said then Cedric nodded in agreement.

Harry looked over at Rita. "Oh I think she will be keeping her comments to herself now other wise her career will be over." Harry said just as their drinks came. Harry handed Monica hers as they looked at Rita walking around with her quill and note pad.

Charlie walked in holding Shanny. She saw Rita and asked if they could stay away from her. "That woman and I don't get along, and if she sees you carring me, she'll write soemthing awful i know it." She said as the smile returned to her voice, she knew she'd lost but hoped that if she didn't make a big deal he'd let her walk.
"Yes, we'll stay clear of that one and her rumor filler quill." He said smiling as he carried her over to her friends. She scooched into a booth and smiled asking "Like the party?"

Monica and Harry walked away from the bar and joined Shanny and Charlie in a booth. "Hey we see you finally made it here." Harry said as he helped Monica into the booth.
"Don't worry about Rita. I told her if she did anything to hurt my friends then she would be in prison for a very long time." Harry said as he looked over at her.
Rita frowned when she noticed that Harry was watching her.

Megan sighed and cursed herself as tears slipped from her eyes. She sat down in a seculded area of the Great Hall, Bill sitting next to her. She wiped her eyes quickly, feeling foolish.
"I swear that evil hag is gonna get it one of these days..." Megan muttered looking over at Bill.
"God, I'm so pathetic. One thing from Skeeter makes me bawl like a baby."
"No you're not Megan. She's a horrible woman anyway. Don't feel bad." Bill said hugging her close to him.
"I just...How could someone call a baby a demon child!?! Hayden is no where near that!" She said feeling her anger catch up with her. Bill shushed her, running his hands up and down her spine,"Sssshhh...No more of that now." He then stood up still holding on to Megan.
"Come on let's go talk to the others. Okay?" Megan looked up at him and smiled slightly, nodding. She then grabbed one of his hands and heading toward the others.

"Hi Chicka" Shanny said. "Its ok, if I see that hag anywhere near here, I'll give her a piece of my mind." She smiled hjoping her friend would feel better. "She already knows that I don't put up with that crap and that I'll rip her head off." She was being a bit drastic here, cause she knew that Rita didn't get laong with her...

"Okay well I didn't come here to talk about Rita. I came here to ring in the new year." Monica said as the music started to play. "Yeah we are going to dance any one want to join us." Harry said as he took Monica's hand and led her to the dance floor.

Megan smiled over at Shanny,"Thanks Shanny." She then turns around to Monica,"You're right Monica. Bill? Wanna dance?"
Bill smirks,"Thought I'm supposed to ask that?"
Megan laughed,"Whatever...come on" Bill smiles and wraps his arms around her waist leading her to the dance floor.
