Monica and Harry waltz away from Roxy and her brother Davie so they could catch up with each other. Harry slowly waltzed Monica off the dance floor and out of the great hall. When they were out of the Great Hall Harry took Monica's hand and walked her towards an empty classroom.
"What are we doing?" Monica asked as Harry walked into the room. "Nothing just wanted some alone time with you." Harry said as he pulled her close and softly kissed her.

"This has really now become the best New Year's Eve I've ever had," Aleysha said to Dan while admiring her engagement ring on her finger. "You know me so well Dan, this ring is the perfect size for me."
"I'm glad you like it," said Dan, the smile still on his face. "Anyway, want to head back to the Great Hall before we are missed?"
"Yeah why not," Aleysha replied and they walked back into the Great Hall.

Harry continued to kiss Monica in the empty class room. Harry finally pulled away and smiled at Monica. "Happy New Year." he said to Monica. "Happy New Year." replied Monica. They stood and looked at each other before starting to kiss again.

They entered the Great Hall and saw that there was still people dancing so no one turned to see who just came in.
"That's all right, no one noticed us coming in or leaving," said Dan. "Come on honey, lets get a drink."

As they were kissing they heard voices out in the hall way. They stopped kissing and turned towards the door. Monica was going to say something but Harry put his hand over her mouth. Harry realized it was Rita Skeeter. "I know I saw them come out here." she was saying to her photographer. "All I need is to find him doing something that will ruin his relationship." she said again as she turned the knob of the door to the room Harry and Monica were in.
"Excuse me, What are you doing out here?" Harry and Monica heard a familar voice say. "Oh Severus, I was just checking to make sure no kids were off doing something they shouldn't be doing." Rita replied.
"You are here just to take pictures now please return to the Great Hall." Severus said as he stood by the door.

Roxy and Dave continued dancing and talking about their crazy family and laughed and giggled she had to look up at him but during one of the songs he was picking her up and she was laughing the whole time while Cedric stood off to the side talking to his other friends.

When Harry and Monica left ot be alone. Shanny blushed as Cahrlie said "Leave it to Harry to think the same thing that I was..."
Shanny blsuhed even redder as she watched Dave and Rox dance. "Look at em go..." she said smiling.

As Severus watched Rita and her photographer walk back into the Great Hall he opened the door and cleared his throat. "Lumos." they heard Severus say. Severus' wand lit up and he scanned the room until he found Monica and Harry. Severus shut the door.
"Okay you two need to get back into that Great Hall. I don't know why Rita is looking for you so use your cloak." Severus said as he threw it at Harry.
Harry took the cloak and covered both of them. Severus opened up the door and looked around to make sure the coast was clear.

Dan and Aleysha spotted Rita walking back into the Great Hall, not looking at all happy, followed by her photographer.
"Geez, Rita doesn't look too happy," said Dan.
"No she doesn't," Aleysha replied when she looked over at the entrance to the Great Hall. "Oh I hope she doesn't find out about our engagement."
"We'll just try stay away from her," Dan suggested. "Because if she's close enough to us so she can see your ring we're in trouble. She's like a hawk."

AS Monica and Harry walked out of the classroom just in front of Severus. Rita was standing by the Great Hall door talking to her photographer, "I know I saw Harry leave here with some one other than his fiance." Rita said as Harry and Monica walked by her.
ONce past her they walked over to a group of couples and Harry whispered. "I am going to let you out. Pretend you are looking for me." Harry said. Monica nodded.

Shanny saw Monica materialize out of no where all by her lonesome. She saw Rita making her way closer to her and decided to intervene. She cut in front of Rita throwing her an awful look and smiling at Mon. "Come on lets get outta here and 'look' for Harry" she said knowing Harry had to be close by.

Roxy Dave and Cedric went out looking for Harry as they were told. Dave was confused but played along and Cedric went along as well.

Rita stopped as Monica was escorted away by her friends. Harry watched as Rita stood right in front of him. He smiled as he saw the anger forming on Rita's face. "I will find him before they do." she said to herself.
Harry had taken off his invisibilty cloak and said, "Find who?" Rita jumped, "What, How?" she stated in surprise. "At a lost for words how nice." Harry said with a smirk.
Monica noticed Harry take off his cloak while Rita watched her walk away. "I know where he is." Monica said as she nodded over towards where she had just left.

"All right, guess we'll leave them alone then," said Dan. "Come on Aleysha," then he added in a whisper, "Remember to hide the ring if Rita comes close to us."
"Oh don't worry about her," said Aleysha and she then wrapped her arms around Dan's neck. "Let's just enjoy the night," and she kissed him.
