"Ms. Skeeter who are you looking for?" Harry asked again. "I saw your fiance walk in here by herself. She looked upset." Rita said as he watched Harry's reaction.
Harry laughed, "Of course she walks in and sees you coming towards her." he said as Monica walked over towards them. "Ah but you were not with her." Rita said. "Well we can't follow each other everywhere." Monica replied.
Rita looked at both of them. "I know you two weren't together. I saw him leave with a red head with curly hair." Rita said looking at Monica. Monica laughed, "You don't even see what is right in front of you." she replied as her father walked in the party.

Roxy and Cedric were making out behind the wall then they thought they heard Rita then looked up and said "that her?" they then saw Aly and Dan then said "Hey guys pstt what are we doing?" she said ina whisper.

Aleysha stopped kissing Dan.
"Honestly, I don't know," she said to Roxy. "But what I do know, is that she is after Monica and Harry for some reason."
"Hey Roxy, Cedric," said Dan in a whisper. "This is killing me that no one knows yet. I'd let everyone in this Great Hall know if that, damn woman," referring to Rita "wasn't here. Aleysha and I are engaged, but please we're begging you, make sure Rita doesn't find out somehow."

Severus walked up behind Rita, "Now, Rita you aren't bothering my daughter and her boyfriend are you?" he asked. "Oh, Mon, I love the curls in your hair." Severus said as Rita looked at Monica and noticed the red hair and curls. "Thanks dad." replied Monica.
"Oh you may have gotten away this time but I will catch you Harry." Rita said as she stormed off.
Monica and Harry high fived each other. "Ah foiled again." he said as he pulled her close for a kiss. Severus didn't even bother to clear his throat instead he just walked away.
"I just wonder why she is going so far out of her way to ruin us." Monica said.

"Really thats great I am so happpy for you" she said to Aly and Dan "I cant believe it I am so happy for yous two" then hugged them both then Cedric said "when is it we are both going right?''

Harry looked at Monica and said, "Let's not think about it. I just want to start the New Year off right." Harry took Monica's hand and walked her out to the dance floor.

"We don't know yet," said Aleysha as she and Dan hugged Roxy in return. "And of course you two will be there, and others too. But we want to keep it low profile for now, especially while that royal pain in the butt," referring to Rita, "is here."

Monica and Harry were dancing when Monica noticed that a lot of their friends were missing. "I wonder where everyone else is right now." Monica said to Harry. "Probably off having some fun." Harry said with a wink.

Shanny smiled knowing Harry was somewhere near Monica. She left so they could be alone and have some fun. Maybe even torment Rita some more. She made her way back to the booth to find that Charlie had left. And that Seamus was sititng there waiting for her. She wlaked slowly up to him and asked "Um are you lost?"
He smiled and said " Lost for words perhaps, after looking at you."
Shanny wasn't listening and asked "Did you see where Charlie disappeared to?"
Seamus shook off the ignored comment and stood to walk closer to Shanny. "Come and dance with me..." He said pulling her wrist.
"Um no I think not." She said ttrying to pull out of his grasp.

Monica laughed, "Okay I get the hint." she said as Harry leaned down and kissed her on the dance floor. Monica returned the kiss. Finally they stopped kissing. Monica looked over and saw Seamus holding onto Shanny's arm. "Um that doesn't look right." Monica said.

"Seamus let go" Shanny said as he pulled her onto the dance floor. "I swaer if you don't let me go I'm" She didn't get a chance to finsh her sentence because he took her into his drunken embrace and squeezed her tight, knocking the air out of her.
"I want another chance, seeing you here tonight has been the hardest expirence of my life and I can't stand being without you."
Shanny couldn't stand it much longer she tried to back away but he onyl held her more tightly, crushing her. "Please, leave me be..." She asked as he looked her in the eyes.
He became rather angry and shook her a bit "Don't you understand me, I'm trying to apoligize here..." He held her once again and said "Now hunny this is the part where we kiss and make up." He looked at her, and she turned her face away as his lips crushed against her cheek.
Shanny almost started to cry, she couldn't find Charlie anywhere, and Seamus was 'dancing/pulling' he closer and closer to the door. He released her face as anger pulsed through him again "Now that wasn't nice" He said, holding her face. "I love you and I don't know what I'd do without you, say you'll forgive me"
Shanny tried to shake her head in a no responce but Seamus refused to let her. He shook her head up and down as a smile grew across his drunken face. "Good girl" he said planting his drool filled mouth upon hers.

Harry looked over at Shanny and Seamus. "I think you are right." Harry said as he stopped dancing. Harry noticed how everyone was starting to notice. Monica saw Rita trying to get a photograph of the incident. "Okay we need to help." Harry said as they walked over towards them.
"I have Rita and her photographer." Monica said as they split. Harry walked over towards Seamus. "Hey Seamus. We need to talk." Harry said. "No we don't mate. Can't you see I am busy." Seamus slurred.
Monica walked over towards Jerry the photographer. He was trying to take a picture when the back of the camera opened up and the film all popped out. "Oh sh....." Monica heard him mutter as the film went flying across the room.

Shanny's eyes filled with tears as she finally saw Charlie come in through the door that Seamus was trying to pull her out of. "Char-" she tried to callas he slapped a hand across her mouth.
"Didn't we go over this, you forgave me...so now we're back together. charlie means nothing anymore. Your mine." It didn't matter that he covered up her face because Charlie already saw them. He pulled up his sleeves as he tapped Seamus on the shoulder.
"Hey mate, you might wanna let her go"
Seamus turned to face Charlie with a grin. "Nah I think not, you see she's already forgiven me and now we get to start off where we left off. so you see mate you might wanna let me go." He shrugged his shoulder away from Charlie.
Charlie turned to Harry and smiled and shrugged and said "Ok its your face". He aimed a powerful punch tht landed smakc center on Seamus's jaw.
He squealed as he finally let go, he tried to swing back but blacked out before he could land one. He crashed to the floor as Charlie wrapped his arms around Shanny and kissed the top of her head as she buried her face in his shirt.

As Seamus fell to the floor Harry quickly took out his wand and levitated him up to the hospital wing.
"Did you get that?" Rita asked Jerry. "No my film popped out and I didn't have any more." he said as the fill came rolling back towards him. Rita frowned and then noticed Monica standing near by with a smug look on her face.

They stayed like for what seemed like hours before Charlie turned to Harry and thanked him fro stepping ina nd trying to help. "What a creep" He said holding Shanny and arms length and looking her over. "Did he hurt you?" He asked.
She shook her head in a no reponce and tears slowly stopped. She looked a mess though her green dress was wrinlked from where he held her and her face was splashed with tears. Charlie pulled her back close to him and held her, throwing Rita a triumphant face. He turned his attention back to Harry and said "Leave him, when he wakes up, mayeb he'll remember what ahppened a feel a like a cretin for it."
