On wednesday i saw it on teletext under entertainment. bloomsbury revealed the date.

on wednesday i saw it on teletext under entertainment the spy said that it is definately 7/7/07 the person found out from bloomsbury. bloomsbury probably haven't updated their site. they are doing 7/7/07 because of it being jo's favourite number, the date and because of it being the 7th book. i live in the uk. i am not a liar. i wouldn't lie about this. it is very frustrating when people say it isn't true. i read teletext and watch the news everyday for harry potter news. this is why i am usually the first one to come on here and post things about it. i was the first person to report on jk rowling's interview back in 2006 about her killing off two charactors dieing in the final book. this was a couple of weeks before it was announced on this site. if you lot keep implying that i am lying then i won't come back on this site ever again. i am very annoyed and upset about this. i am a huge harry potter fan this means i know everything about harry potter and know what happens next.

Sam I am not calling you a liar. I just haven't heard anything on the news sites that I check. I have heard that the 7/7/07 date wasn't a good date for the UK. I don't remember exactly why but I know I heard that somewhere.
I hope you are right because that is the date I have been wishing for all the time. Please don't be mad I do not think you are lieing. I will do some more investigating myself. Thank you so much for the info.

every topic i do people think that i am lying about it. especially when movie 5 and book 7 are concerned. i am not mad at you monica just everyone else. you have been very helpful to me and have been welcoming when i registered on this site thank you. it is other members i am upset about not you. 7/7 was the date in 2005 when terrorists planted six bombs around london during the rush hour in the morning when people go to work. it was to do with the war in Iraq. it was like 9/11. jo wants to release on this date because it is on a saturday. it will be released at 7pm on friday in the US. and 12am in the UK. the date is connected to the final book. i can't wait for the release.

I hope it is 7/7 because it is so apropriate. I figured that is what the date was but I don't see why the book couldn't be released on that date anyway. I know 9/11 is an important date for those of us in the US but we can't stop living a semi normal life. I have always felt that 7/7 would be the date. And again thank you for sharing.

Look, I'm sorry if I upset you, I didn't mean to. I am truly sorry that I did. I am just saying that I'm not.... I'm unsure, just because there have been pranks in the past, and I've learned to just check the official sites before believing something. I'm not TRYING to call you a liar.
We are all Harry Potter fans, otherwise we wouldn't be on this site. I am offended that you would think otherwise.

I would like to apologise to you all. i went on google and it said that the date has not yet been released but it will be 2007 because it is a big year this year with order of the phoenix movie in july.

I have been constantly checking for the release date but still nothing but hey at least we know the title...Sometimes I feel like I DON'T want to know the release date because it will simply remind me how close the end is, but I guess it's something we all have to face. I have heard rumers that the release date can be in 2008 but let's see
(BTW sorry I haven't been online my computer was broken and most of the websites are blocked at school)

I know it is hard waiting for the date to be publicly announced. I just hope it is not 2008. That is just to far off. I think it will be this year because it is usually 2 years between books. Only once was it longer. She has had most of this book written for years. Now I just think she is adding things and getting it in order.

i think it will definately be released this year because Jo did the interview last year and hinted that Harry will not survive. so he will die. it is two major charactors Harry and someone will die. go on to google and type in J.K Rowling's Interview on Richard and Judy Last year and click on the top one and it will say Harry will probably die. At the Goblet of fire premeire I remember Dan saying that he wants Harry to be killed off and he also said he doesn't fancy any of his co stars in Harry Potter. S o that means he is just friends with Emma. Jo also said she has not been tempted to kill off harry til now becaause she has always wanted to do seven books. This Is What Jo Said "well i can completely Understand, however the mentality of an author who thinks well i am going to kill them off because that means there can be no non author written sequels. so it will end with me, and after i am dead and gone they won't be able to bring back the charactor." Jo's words not mine i can assure you. Jo also says that one charactor got a repreive and two charactors die that Jo didn't intend to kill off. so this means it is definately main charactors so maybe the trio get killed. Jo also said that she will never get anything like harry potter again.
