I decided to start this thread because I just finished reading Eragon and Eldest. The first and second book of this series. I am so glad that I read them. I never thought I could enjoy another series almost as much as Harry Potter.
This is for anyone that has read the series so far so that we can discuss things that happened.

I read the first one, honestly I thought the same thing. I didnt think I would be into dragons and stuff. But I totaly am! I went to see Eragon the movie the DAY it came out.
I haven't read the 2nd book cuz for some reason, Barnes N' Nobel hasnt had it the last couple of times I've been there. But I ordered it and it should be here in a matter of weeks!!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I read the first book and LOVED it. I didn't think I'd be into dragons or anything either, but, I am. *sigh* Then I had to wait for someone to get me Eldest (I was broke, seeing as I'd spent all my money on getting Christmas presents for friends.). While waiting, I went to go see Eragon the movie (on the day it came out). I was somewhat disappointed in the movie. It did the book no justice! Finally, after Christmas, my grandma went out and bought me the special edition Eldest. I didn't put it down until I was done! Sooo good.

Yeah I am glad that there are others that like this series. I haven't seen the movie but I keep hearing the same thing that it didn't do the book justice.
I cried at the end of the second book. I knew they weren't gone. I just never suspected what happened at the end with Eragon and him.
I am trying not to spoil the book for you Aimee. Once you get it you won't be able to put it down cause I know I wasn't.
I need to thank Shanny and Davy for telling me to read them. I am glad I did. Now I just want to know when the last one is going to be out. Does anybody know?

I totally agree with everything you guys have said! I loved the two books, but don't remember how or who got me to read them...hmmm. That's going to bug me now.
Anyway I too saw the movie the day it came out. I thought it was....different...but oh well. I've been waiting forever for the next book to come out. *sigh* I heard that it's going to be called 'Empire' but that could be just a rumor.

Hey Candy. Glad to see another Inheritance reader.
Well Shanny I guess it could be good for him to wait until the last HP book comes out because then I have something else to wait for after July 21.
I have heard that too about the last book being called Empire, Candy.

Oh Teresa the books are awesome. I love them as much as Harry Potter. Try to read them as soon as you can. There are only two out right now but I don't mind waiting for another interesting read.

Yep, I heard that the last book was gonna be called Empire a long time ago. But I think that he should releae it before the Hp book and that way, he'll still get his publisity and then I won't have to wait so long to read something good LOL.

Ok, soo... if you don't want anything spoiled... stop... right now!
I said stop!
*Spoilers*
Ok, was anyone at all surprised by the end of the book? I had always guessed who Eragon's father was... but what happened to Murtagh made me sad. That part did surprise me...

Okay *Spoilers*
I know that when I was reading the 1st book I didn't thing the Twins or Murtagh were dead. When I was reading that I had so many emotions. I was yelling, crying, I was even saying I knew it but I never thought that he was his brother. I knew there was more to him but didn't know what it was.
Now I want the 3rd book so bad. I would love for it to be release like right after the HP one then I would also have something else to read.

*Spoilers*
See, I thought from the beginning that Morzan was Eragon's father. But when I got to the part about what side Murtagh ended up on, I yelled at my book and started crying. I actually got so mad that I shut my book and refused to read it for five minutes (a rather long time for me to put a book down).
I'm a bit more patient about the third Inheritance book than I am with HP. No clue why though.

*spoilers*
I couldn't put the book down when I found out. I had to keep reading just to see what happened. I have to say that what Murtagh said about Galbatorix killing alll the old Dragon riders because they were old threw me because isn't he like old now.
I can't say I ever thought that Morzan was his dad but I kept saying he has to be from some one that is a rider. I thought that maybe his mom had been one and that is where he got it from.
I am patient right now for the third Inheritance book but once I read Deathly Hallows I may become impatient. How long have Eragon and Eldest been out?
